Stamina system crashes!

Dear Clients,

Over the past 3 days there have been several system crashes and reboots on the stamina.bittraffic.com system. We had to setup a logging method to catch the culprit. Doing so we have discovered the following;

This clients account has been terminated for this abuse and causing these recent issues. We greatly apologize for the effect it has had on other users on the system. Anyone caught running perl bots without permission could have their service suspended or terminated. Its very critical that clients respect their hosting environment. We offer excellent services and cut clients a lot of slack anywhere we can. If you are unsure about certain software please check with us before running anything. Thank you all for your understanding.

Data center router reboot 2AM CST on 7/12/08 | should not effect connectivity

SERVERS EFFECTED:

openvz.bittraffic.com
pegasus.bittraffic.com

One of our data centers routers needs to be rebooted in order to fix some of the routing issues customers have been reporting.
The reboot is scheduled for 2AM CST on 7/12/08

Majority of our customers will not see any network downtime thanks to the redundant router setup however it is possible that certain routes may be impacted for 5 minutes until the rebooted router comes back online. Even though we do not expect any downtime during this announced maintenance we still want to keep all customers informed.

Thank you,

Network Event - June 22nd, 2008

Dear BitTraffic Clients,

*This notice is in reference to hercules.bittraffic.com and stamina.bittraffic.com*

On June 22nd, at approximately 8:06PM PST an issue occurred at one of our data centers Cisco routers handling the fiber trunk between the data center and the data centers pop in Los Angeles. This resulted in periods of impacted connectivity to the Internet from a portion of customer servers. Our data center began working on the router as soon as the problem was detected. Full resolution was achieved at approximately 9:21PM PST. Our data center has also begun taking measures to prevent this situation from occurring in the future.

We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

Sincerely,

BitTraffic Staff
