This maintenance is necessary for one of our data centers to upgrade & optimize their network’s capacity & topology. We expect some intermittent packet loss and possible network drops during this maintenance window. We greatly apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Network Event - June 22nd, 2008

Dear BitTraffic Clients,

*This notice is in reference to hercules.bittraffic.com and stamina.bittraffic.com*

On June 22nd, at approximately 8:06PM PST an issue occurred at one of our data centers Cisco routers handling the fiber trunk between the data center and the data centers pop in Los Angeles. This resulted in periods of impacted connectivity to the Internet from a portion of customer servers. Our data center began working on the router as soon as the problem was detected. Full resolution was achieved at approximately 9:21PM PST. Our data center has also begun taking measures to prevent this situation from occurring in the future.

We apologize for any inconvenience this issue may have caused.

BitTraffic requires payment verification to protect both the clients and the company!

We greatly apologize for any inconvenience this may cause but we can promise to make it up to you! We have been doing this for nearly 2 years and its only required for new client sign ups.

BitTraffic requires payment verification to help battle the growing fraud and identity theft issues on the internet today. We require payment verification to help protect both clients and our company. Its only required once and it may be provided via email or fax. We recommend a scanned or faxed copy. Clients may also provide digital images with a camera phone or digital camera. Please make sure its possible to read the information on the card.
We greatly appreciate your time and business.

Required Methods:

PayPal
For PayPal payments please provide a scanned copy of Photo ID, Drivers Licence, Passport, or Student ID.

Credit Card
For Credit Card Payments please provide a scanned copy of the face/front of the card.

Payment verification is required to prove your identity and authorize us to accept funds or make a charge to your credit card. This verification is required to prove your identity and it is only required once for the lifetime of service with our company. Other methods are sometimes accepted per request.

Not Required Methods:
E-Gold
Bank Transfer
Western Union

Payment Verification is not required via these payment methods as it is required by the companies prior to sending any payments or funds.

OpenVZ issues resolved!

We greatly apologize for any inconvenience caused by the downtime with our OpenVZ system. We have fixed everything and its all back online and running normally. openvz and pegasus box offline

At present we are experiencing problems with our openvz system thats houses pegasus & all vps systems. We are in constant communications with datacentre to resolve this issue asap.

The situation now stands that system might be down for a few days as datacentre has advised that we migrate to an alternate box. They can make a backup of our system which can be restored to new box.

Unfortunately this downtime has happened whilst Stalker is on his holidays so we cannot relocate any clients to alternate boxes yet but will do our best to contact Stalker to come to some arrangement for clients. If Stalker cannot connect to internet whilst he is away for any reason he will sort something for downtime asap upon return which is 9th June. I have messaged him & he is aware we are having problems & I’m sure he will do his best to connect to help asap.

I am sorry for any inconvenience caused by this downtime & will do my best to get it sorted asap for all clients.
