Out with the old and in with the new

We’ve unleashed another monster. Pegasus is a dual core Intel with 2GB ram and is running Debian on FDC’s network. It has replaced Athena which means that BitTraffic now owns four servers in three different locations around the world. The choice of Debian for the OS allows for BitTraffic to run a broader range of software applications such as game servers and user-customisable firewalls.

Stay tuned for more updates.

Not fond of Apache?

We are in the process of testing a new web-server alongside Apache in the hope to allow users to easily change between the two in the future. The new server, lighttpd, has been designed with speed and security in mind and is up and running for testing purposes on one two of our servers. If you would like to join the testing program and allow for lighttpd to power your website please let me know by email chris “AT” Bitraffic.com.
