New billing system

I am happy to announce that the old billing system we were using from modernbill.com has been replaced due to it not being quite what we wanted. All customer information has been swapped to a new system we bought from whmcs.com, I think I can speak for the rest of the admins by saying that we find it much easier to use in terms of automation, integration and speed and we hope you do too.

What do you need to know?
Not a lot has changed in terms of the basic features of the billing system and the URL is still www.bittraffic.com/billing. You should find the interface easier to work with because you are greeted with the most important information on the main page including your outstanding balance and details from the integrated ticket system. You have easy access to all correspondence sent to/from BitTraffic including all invoices and payments as well as a page giving real-time information on the status of our servers (located here). We hope that the new system gives improved usability but if you do have any questions or comments please dont hesitate to post a ticket or email us at support “AT” bittraffic.com.

Thank you,

Increased system stability

We have taken steps to ensure that servers that are of highest risk to large apache loads and/or floods have been given a helping hand in dealing with such issues. Apache has been limited to the amount of resources it can hog and whilst allowing this service a relatively small amount of system memory and cpu-time we have ensured that genuine http requests will not be disallowed and that access times have not been slowed down.

Our aim for this small project is to increase all-round system firmness, not to stop genuine http requests from being processed in the usual short amount of time. However, if any user notices downtime, particularly of http, we urge them to contact us with the server name, time, date and length of downtime so that we can maintain correct thresholds for resource limiting.
