Please respect your hosting environment! We have found users are running software which causes system instability. Clearly the software is consuming 100% CPU within moments of being started. Also we have found users running software which was spoofed to look like something else. This is unacceptable and will lead to account termination. We have removed the malicious user and software from the system and CPU loads have already decreased dramatically. We are very sorry for the recent issues in the past 2 weeks with this system. We hope now that users understand the severity of the issue.

APF (Advanced Policy Firewall) and BFD (Brute Force Detection) have now been installed and fully configured. All services appear to be functioning normally. This should stop the recent attacks which were effecting SSHD. If you have issues binding to ports with specific software please submit a ticket for help. This firewall will help defend against attacks and improve system stability and performance.

There were memory allocation issues which had caused the system to crash and not restart normally. We had to force a system restart. The system is now back online and functioning normally. We are installing APF (Advanced Policy Firewall) and BFD (Brute Force Detection) due to sshd being brute forced and partially causing the memory failures. We apologize for the inconvenience. The system is now accessable! We are taking measures to prevent issues like this in the future.

Remote Desktop User Access is now available! We are developing the page and there will be many improvements over the next few days. The software list will also elaborated a little further. Keep looking for updates. We are still working on Windows licenses. They will be available soon!

Xen Virtual Dedicated Servers have been added to our site! We have also relased Remote Desktop Servers. We are working on Remote Desktop Users – a little cheaper and more cost effective to have a shared environment rather then a full server. They will be added to the site within 24 hours. We have made a few improvements check the BitTraffic main site for updates! More soon!

Whats new at BitTraffic? A lot! We have a ton of virtualization stuff under development. We are going to be offering both Xen and OpenVZ platforms. This will enable us to offer Virtual Machines, and Remote Desktops running just about Linux any distro, FreeBSD, and Windows. They will all be available soon. We also have recently obtained a new 2 CPU Quad Core E5140 (8 cores 24 MB cache) server with 16 GB RAM. BitTraffic also now has our own dedicated server hardware which we are soon colocating at a data center in either Tucson Arizona, or Denver Colorado. When we have worked out a partnership and find a place to put our hardware we will start offering Dedicated Servers. Another x2 upgrade will be released very soon for both Web Hosting and OpenVZ Virtual Private Server Hosting. Xen Virtual Dedicated Servers are currently under development and we will post updates with more information soon.

We have a increased demand for SHOUTcast Auto DJ. The existing users running this software are also consuming a large amount of resources. Often more resources then the outbound audio streaming its self. We have decided to create a services plan for for Auto DJ which can be added to any SHOUTcast hosting package. For starters we will include 1 package $14.99/mo 128 KBPS 1GB HD and of course unlimited bandwidth. This will be the only Auto DJ package that we offer until we are able to do more development.
